Children Can!

In my Sunday School class I try to teach my kids that they are never too small to do big things. This year we adopted Operation Christmas Child as a project.  Our goal was to sponsor one boy and one girl between the ages of 2-4, because that is the age of my class. It started out good in the beginning, and slowly faded. But each month I had a different item that the parents could bring in. For example, one month was school supplies, another small toys, and others included hygiene items, and clothing items. I made sure that we talked about the importance of giving back, and how not everyone is as fortunate as us.
Another thing I have started in my class is making the kids speak up and us their voice. When it comes to praying I want them to be willing. I try my hardest not to step on their toes when helping them because I want them to be encouraged to pray, and by trying to help them, or adding on, they feel like their's was not good enough. So I have started letting them pray for snack, and I let whoever wants to pray, and sometimes it can be long, but it is totally worth it. They have grown so much and it is amazing to see.
Of course we come to the part of consistency, I mean they are only two and three years old they can't drive themselves to church. I try to make every child that walks through my door feel loved and wanted. I pick some of my kids who are there on a regular basis to play with anyone who is new. Yesterday I had a child who had never been left in a nursery at any church. One of my kids Went over and was talking to him. He told him, "You know we have lots of fun here." and "You should stay so we can have fun and play." And when the little boys mom came to pick him up he said to him, "See I told you it was fun." I mean really who wouldn't love what they do when you see that kind of growth. That same child would cry when he came into my room, and now he is like a little sales man to the program.
I may be teaching two and three year olds but I know that they can do so much. This is a little stepping stone in their life. They may not remember it but it will help them in the future. I am called into Kids Ministry and when I see the light and the change in a child, it makes it all worth it. I cannot wait to start traveling and reaching kids around the world!

New Year!

Well I hope everyone had a great Christmas. My goal is for this upcoming new year is to post more. I also hope to be getting my YouTube Channel up and running with more frequent videos. I have college classes on Mondays that I will keep me there from 8-8 so with my free time I hope to post on Mondays. It's a goal not a promise. Well I wish everyone the best of luck in the new year.

In the Beginning

This is going to be where all ideas, stolen or created, are going to be posted while I am working in Kids Ministry. I work with 2-4 year old on Sunday Mornings. We are a small church with not a lot of money, or kids. So almost everything I do comes out of my pocket, so it must be cheap. Most of the stuff I get is from Pinterest and is on my board. I hope you enjoy!
